2010 Atlanta II: NASCAR Sprint Cup Final Practice Results - Newman, Chevrolet Fastest!

The NASCAR Sprint Cup series continued to practice for Sunday Night's Emory Healthcare 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Atlanta, Georgia.
Fastest in the final practice was Ryan Newman and his No. 39 U.S. Army Reserve Chevrolet who turned a lap of 30.183 seconds/ 183.680 mph. Newman was just .015 quicker than Carl Edwards and his No. 99 Aflac Ford who recorded a lap of 30.198 seconds/ 183.588 mph.
Third quick was Juan Pablo Montoya and his No. 42 Huggies Chevrolet with a lap of 30.213 seconds/ 183.497 mph. Montoya was just .03 off of Newman's top time.
David Ragan and his No. 6 UPS Ford was fourth fastest, and Clint Bowyer and his No. 33 BB&T Chevrolet was fifth quick. All five fastest drivers were within a minuscule .062 of a second.
Overall, 46 NASCAR Sprint Cup entries turned laps during the opening practice. Next up for the Cup series competitors is qualifying.
