Defrank Set For Memorable Milestone Year
Fifteen years ago, a youthful Jimmy DeFrank took the podium at the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series awards ceremony for the first time. As the winner of the 1997 Super Stock world championship, DeFrank was a humble and polite young man. The past decade and a half hasn't seen much change for the Southern California native in terms of general disposition off the racetrack, and when it comes to his demeanor as a driver, he has certainly kept up a winning pace.

The NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series will again be televised in 16 one-hour shows on ESPN2 and ESPN2HD, with coverage from select NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series national events, it was announced today by the world’s largest motorsports sanctioning organization. In addition, the popular NHRA Sportsman Spotlights, focusing on NHRA’s Member Track network, will air on ESPN2 and ESPN2HD as part of the race-coverage telecasts.

2012 NHRA: Tank Full Of Story Lines For DSR Drivers At Pomona, DSR Canopy Won't Be Used At Pomona Opener
Each of the seven Don Schumacher Racing drivers will arrive in Pomona, Calif., next week poised for the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series season when it opens 2012 with the Winternationals.
The biggest story of the off-season has been the new canopy that DSR's seven-time world champion Tony Schumacher tested on his U.S. Army Top Fuel Dragster Jan. 15-21 at Palm Beach International Raceway in Jupiter, Fla.
