IRC: Meeke And Wilks Go Head-To-Head In Scotland
Kris Meeke and Guy Wilks, driving the two cars draped in their British flag, are turning the RACMSA Rally of Scotland into a private battle for victory. Meeke, already crowned as the 2009 Intercontinental Rally Challenge series winner, has led from the start in his Peugeot UK-entered 207 S2000 but has been pushed all the way by Wilks in his Skoda UK-entered Fabia S2000.
A thrilling contest between two of the sport's rising stars has been played out in the spectacular Scottish countryside. Ranging through the green Scottish hills from Perthshire to the Trossachs, today's action began under brilliant blue skies and ended under thunderclouds at dusk.

Canadian Rally Championship: National Title At Stake For Mitsubishi At Tall Pines Rally
With the sixth and final round of the Canadian Rally Championship being held this weekend in Bancroft, Ontario, Antoine L’Estage and co-driver Nathalie Richard from St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Québec, in their 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, are one step closer to becoming national champions. If this happens, it will be a first for Mitsubishi in Canada.
Eight additional teams, all steering Mitsubishi Lancer models, have entered into this unpredictable event where weather often determines the outcome. Among the open class favorites are Andrew Comrie-Picard and Jeremy Wimpey in a second Evolution; Simon Losier and François Morin driving a Synchro Racing Evolution VIII RS and Maxime Losier and Philippe Poirier, also in a Synchro Racing Evolution VIII RS.

IRC: Rally Of Scotland Begins With Spectacle
With the local radio traffic news advising people to stay at home unless their journeys were necessary, a mammoth crowd still ventured to historic Scone Palace this evening to cheer the start of the RACMSA Rally of Scotland: the final round of the 2009 Intercontinental Rally Challenge.
A jubilant atmosphere filled the site where Scotland’s kings were once crowned, fuelled by bagpipes and fireworks, and there was nothing that either thick fog or driving rain could do to dampen the spirit of the occasion. Scotland’s first minister, Alex Salmond, flagged the field away from the ceremonial start and into a 1.53km ‘superspecial’ stage to thrill the thousands of fans who had braved the weather.

Perez Defies Odds To Claim Top Twenty Finish On Rac Rally
Kick Energy rally driver Steve Perez' hopes of a decent finish on the Roger Albert Clark Rally were once again dashed as history repeated itself in the most bizarre fashion.
A stalwart of the De Lacy Motor Club's four-day marathon, that recaptures the spirit of yesteryear's Lombard RAC Rallies, Perez and co driver Carl Williamson were hoping for a good run in their ubiquitous Lancia Stratos and despite the horrendous weather on Friday evening, their event got off to a good start around the Pickering Showground spectator stage.
