Jani-King 150 Announced At The Milwaukee Mile
Jani-King, the official cleaning company of The Milwaukee Mile, is sponsoring the Saturday, August 25th ASA Late Model Challenge Series event, now to be known as the Jani-King 150.
The ASA Late Model Challenge Series highlights driver talent while using a level playing field of sealed motors and composite bodies on late model stock cars.
All eyes will be on the emerging talents competing in the Jani-King 150. Kelly Bires of Mauston, Wis. won last year’s ASA Late Model Challenge Series race at The Mile, which sealed his opportunity to earn a seat in NASCAR with the fabled Wood Brothers racing team. Bires now competes full time on the NASCAR Busch Series.

Short track veterans and aspiring teenagers who want to follow Bires’ leap into a full-time NASCAR opportunity will be competing in the Jani-King 150, scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. CST green flag on Saturday afternoon, August 25. It will be one of four main events held throughout the speedway’s traditional Governor’s Cup weekend.
“We are excited for this opportunity to expand the involvement of Jani-King franchise owners across Wisconsin at America’s Legendary Oval,” said Jon McAlpine, President of Jani-King of Milwaukee. “It’s going to be quite a feat to win the Jani-King 150, as it will be the longest race these strong ASA competitors will run all season. We look forward to presenting a well-earned crystal trophy to the winner in A.J. Foyt Victory Lane at The Milwaukee Mile on August 25th.”
The ASA Late Model Challenge Series competes on paved oval tracks as challenging as quarter-mile ovals from Texas to Ontario, Canada.
Jani-King, the King of Clean®, remains active in motorsports including sponsoring various race teams, including 18 year-old Brent Seeley in the ASA Late Model Challenge Series.
“Jani-King knows the benefit of being involved in motorsports, and we are very pleased they are taking advantage of the opportunity to sponsor the ASA Late Model Challenge Series, which will offer our fans some of the best short track stock car racing in America,” commented Aaron Hart, Milwaukee Mile VP – Sales.
